Accidental Click Clarification from Google AdSense

Today, Google AdSense makes some clarification regarding to accidental click topics which have been posted at their official blog a weeks ago. Google is not very strict with this rule…. Maybe many webmaster already know about this case…. Google rule is always vague.

As I’ve been wrote at another article in the previous time, if you give enough space between your interactive element (such as banner, link, etc.) and your AdSense advertisement, then the accidental click can be tolerated.

As you can read in the quote from Google below:

“This is why we ask that you maintain sufficient distance between your ads and any elements of your page on which users may often click.”

I guess the minimum range between AdSense advertisements and the most clicked element inside your site is about 10 – 15 pixels (vertical). For horizontal, make it about 20 – 30 pixels. In order to make their rule simply understood, Google providing two sample advertisement layouts which can be seen at the picture below:
The first sample is the valid sample layout for your site.

AdSense Sample 2

And this 2nd sample layout is the invalid layout and you shouldn’t implement the layout for your site.

AdSense Sample 2

With those two samples, publishers are suggested for more careful when implementing the AdSense ads inside their sites. Publishers must be proactive in order to make their account still in the safe line. If there’s an odd statistic inside their account, they should be makes a report to Google AdSense Support Team immediately.
