Adsense New Policies
Google updated their AdSense program policies. Most of changes are just clarifying the previous policy and removing some overly verbose stuff. There’s no crucial changes being made to the previous version on March 2006, but with the renewal of the words inside the policies, Google give moer opportunity and some control over how webmasters may displaying Google ads at publisher’s site.
For example, the previous version said that it’s not allowed to have another ads beside adsense which based on contextual targeted ads. And for the renewal policy version said that it’s only restricted using another competing ads which have the same or similar layout and colors as the Google ads. Another useful change is that Google AdSense support team remove the part of text that said about restriction when put the ads on domain parking websites. Considering there’s actually an AdSense for domains program at google.com/domainpark/, that makes a lot of sense, in a spammy kind of way!
Google also removing the rules that disallow placing ads on any page which include “MP3, Video, News Groups, and Image Results,” which was previously sorted under the copyrighted material label. It’s a good point and give more opportunity when this part is gone, since indicating the music or video files from their nature are somehow copyright-infringing is just totally wrong. Another sentence that sounds silly is some missing rules in the new policies is that your site “must not contain broken links and must be launched, functioning, and easily navigable.” Additionally, the site responsiveness restrictions are gone too (Google previously explained that sites must “respond adequately to support requests and enquiries of their users”).
A restriction that was not in the policies before is that Google AdSense-powered sites may now not include “Sales or distribution of term papers or student essays.” ![]()
