AuctionAds as AdSense Alternative
If you are a publisher who always browsing internet when looking for another affiliate program beside AdSense, maybe you already know about new ad network called AuctionAds.
This affiliate program was built by ShoeMoney and MediaWhiz (owners of Text-Link-Ads and ReviewMe).
AuctionAds is an advertisement which based on CPA (Cost Per Auction) which sponsored by eBay auction affiliate system. Since it was based on CPA, publishers will get their earnings if there are any visitors generate click at the AuctionAds advertisements and doing some activities on eBay. It was totally different with AdSense. While AdSense based on Paid Per Click and Paid Per Impressions, then AuctionAds is based on Paid Per Lead or Paid Per Auction.
Affiliate and Payment Type
To get more interest from webmaster, AuctionAds (aff) have their own affiliate system for calculating the revenue for publishers/webmasters. At the first 6 months, we will get 2% from our referral’s revenue. It’s not as much as AdSense earnings, but it’s not too bad for our additional income since it was a new affiliate program.
For the payment type, publishers will get their revenue through Paypal which being sent every beginning of the month for their revenue in the last month. The minimum payout is only $10 for the payment. So, you can get more additional income with this affiliate program.
Auction Ads Registration
To get into the AuctionAds program and become a member, publisher needs to make a registration which can be acquired at the AuctionAds signup page. You should completely fill the AuctionAds registration page like this:

Fill the registration form completely and don’t forget to mark the “agreement” with checkbox which provided above the Sign Up button. If all fields in the registration form already filled with the correct information, you can press that Sign Up button.
You will be instantly approved to be their publisher without waiting for approval process anymore.
Implementing the AuctionAds Advertisements
To implementing the AuctionAds Advertisements, publishers should login at their account in AuctionAds. Create a new campaign if you think you need it for your AuctionAds advertisements. This campaign is similar with channel feature at Google AdSense, which can be used for monitoring and tracking the statistic of the related AuctionAds advertisements. It can be used for tracking the displayed ads or tracking the count of the click(s). After you have done, you can get to “Get Code” area.
Here you can setup the displayed AuctionAds advertisements which have similar page with Google AdSense setup page. Take a look at this image:

In the bottom part of the page, you can get the preview from the advertisements you’ve being made. If you feel satisfied with that result, you can copy the advertisement codes which provided at the “Code For Your Site” text area and paste the codes at your site as easy as implementing the AdSense codes.
If you carefully watch the page, the AuctionAds is similar like Chitika. You can set your own words or phrases as your keywords in advertisements, so the displayed AuctionAds will be targeted as you site’s contents. Don’t forget using the semicolon sign for separation between two or more keywords.
Example: “1st keyword; 2nd keyword; 3rd keyword”
AuctionAds and Google AdSense
There must be a question about this new affiliate programs when you are an AdSense publisher. May I place AuctionAds and Google AdSense at the same page? The answer for this question is YES, you can. Why? The displayed AuctionAds is different with Google AdSense ads although AuctionAds have the same size as Google AdSense ads. While the AuctionAds is not mimicking Google AdSense ads, then it will be safe to place both of them at a page. It’s not breaking the newest AdSense rules about competitive ads section.
AuctionAds Tips & Tricks
Here are some tips and tricks related to the AuctionAds:
Using UTW tag as the keywords (source).
auctionads_ad_kw= “<?php UTW_ShowTagsForCurrentPost(”", array (”default”=>”; %tagdisplay%”, “first”=>”%tagdisplay%”,”last”=>”; %tagdisplay%”)); ?>”;
Using Title Post as the keywords
auctionads_ad_kw= “<?php the_title(); ?>”;
Place the AuctionAds advertisements next to your Google AdSense Ads. I am not doing many researches yet, but the good placement is placing the 120×240 AuctionAds in the left side of 336×280AdSense ads. Here is the sample for implementation:
&ltdiv>
< div style=”float:left;”>
//AuctionAds advertisement codes
< /div>
< div style=”float:left; margin-left:10px;”>
// AdSense advertisement codes
< /div>
< /div>
< div style=”clear:both;margin:0;padding:0;height:0;”>
< /div>
