Get Paid After Being Banned by AdSense?

Recently, I have seen a forum thread who discuss about a Google AdSense publisher who was banned, received a payment from Google. You can read the news on Digital Point Forum as this thread has the first documented case.

According to the thread, here is the timeline:
- On the 7th of the month, Google banned his AdSense account.
- On the 28th, Google sent him a payment via electronic transfer.

Generally, Google would pay AdSense publishers for valid traffic. So, there is no reason why Google shouldn’t pay the publisher, if his account was banned for other reasons or even if some of the traffic was valid. However, Google has the right not to pay publishers who violate their terms of service. What do you think about it? A lucky publisher? Some members in the forums believe so.

It could be plain luck, but I doubt that’d be the case. Chances on it would seam as slim as winning the lottery seeing as to how Google can be the moment an account is banned, you need to come up with a really good excuse to even have any hope of getting it unbanned let stand that they’d still pay you.

Perhaps the reason for banning was less fraudulent than promoting people to click or anything but in example placing the ads on a site for which the language wouldn’t officially be supported. In that case I suppose even at Google they might be less harsh on the user compared to false clicks.

Hi, just read your post and now you have explained the first part of it. Now look into my blog to find the second part of your discussion.

Hope you can get a clear idea of it.

    You were correct!
You will be charged by your bank if your cheque had bounced.
However, amount of the “cancellation fee” is vary between each bank.

Frankly speaking, I’m not agree with the “stop payment” from Google for all cheque that had been issued. Sounds not fair….. The payment should be stopped after the last cheque only.

Just imagine, since 6 months ago, you have accumulate 6 cheques in your hand and you’re not clearing those cheques because you want to make it as your deposit. But suddenly your account had been banned this month. Is it fair enough if your 6 previous cheques can’t be cleared?

If you still care for adsense, would you (all of you who read this!) please send them email about this “ridiculous rule”.
I believe if there are many complaining email from publishers about this case, they will considering the issues and will fix the problem as soon as they can.
Remember, all cheque that had been issued are valid! (according to their TOS)
