Sudden Spike in Adsense Traffic

Will the sudden spike in traffic throw up adsense red flag?

No, sudden surge in traffic of course will not lead to any flagging by Google. However, google will flag the site if there is a sudden surge in clicks and they are a lot more concern on invalid click activity.

Google has a lot of ways to detect invalid click activities. And we don’t know exactly about their technology for detecting the activities inside our sites.

Make sure that you’re still compliance with the Google Adsense rules. Never joining the autosurf program which may raise their red flag and makes your account get banned from adsense.

Both autosurf programs or traffic exchange programs may lead invalid impressions being generated at your site.

Google loves traffic which comes naturally from search engine. That would give more weight at CPC (Cost Per Click) at your adsense ads rather than traffic which comes from referral link at another website.

If you were sure that your traffic coming from natural visitors, then you should have no worried. In this case, you are not allowed using automatic software/script to boost traffic for your site. Please keep in mind that CTR doesn’t affect anything because Google will determine the validity of your traffic based on many factors.
Also, boosting traffic from social networking also has higher risk of invalid clicks.
If you don’t mind, you can tell us the origin of traffic of your site and we’ll help you to make some research and conclusion.
